If you suspect that there is a violation of the Academic Integrity Policy…
It is strongly recommended that you discuss your concerns with the student or that you email the student as you explore a possible violation. If you determine that there is a violation, send a violation report (called Instructor Resolution in the policy) describing the violation and your decision regarding a sanction to the Academic Integrity Coordinator in your school or college. To be in compliance with the Academic Integrity Policy, you must make this report within five days of your decision. If you wish to request a hearing on the matter, use the Hearing Request Form.
You may impose a sanction up to and including course failure for an academic integrity violation. The consequences for violations in your classes are up to you—or the instructor of record if you are a teaching assistant.
