About the Academic Integrity Office

The Academic Integrity Office (AIO) was established to implement Syracuse University's Academic Integrity Policies and Procedures, thus promoting a commitment to honesty and integrity among all members of the University community.

AIO provides education, resources, and support for all SU schools and colleges and for individual members of the University community. The AIO Director coordinates University-wide academic integrity initiatives such as a required video on academic integrity for incoming students, Turnitin (a plagiarism prevention system), and individualized tutorials for students who violate the academic integrity policy. The office keeps confidential records of academic integrity violations and is responsible for training hearing panel participants and chairs.
